‘Narco-cops’ went Awol

FIFTEEN of the 28 “narco-cops” who were previously ordered to be transferred to police offices in other regions had gone on absent without leave (Awol).

Gumban said the policemen who were transferred to Armm didn’t report to their new assignments, though, he refused to divulge their names.

Because of this, they may face dismissal from the service for administrative offense, Gumban said.

They probably could not accept their fate, he added.

He, however, said that if one of them has court duties in their previous units, they are allowed to go back for that certain purpose.

All of the expenses will be paid by their previous unit but after they

fulfill their purpose, they need to immediately return to their new assignments, Gumban said.

Last November, 19 non-commissioned officers and two commissioned officers were relieved and transferred to PRO-ARMM and PRO-CAR.
