Negros Occidental park, lagoon closed for renovation

THE Province of Negros Occidental announced Thursday that Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. approved the total closure of the Provincial Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod City starting January 28.

The temporary closure will continue until the landscaping work is completed, it added.

The P25-million Lagoon development, which started in early December, is part of the P750 million purchase agreement between the Ayala Land Inc. and the Provincial Government.

The Capitol said the ongoing renovation/construction covers almost all areas of the park.

It added that the total closure will also ensure the safety of the public and expedite the ongoing construction/landscaping of the park. (PR)
