New names included in government's 'narco-list'

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte confirmed Monday that new names have been included in the roster of drug personalities in the country.

The President reiterated his call on individuals connected to illicit narcotics trade to do away with their drug transactions as they may not like the "consequences" they are about to face.

"There are new [names in the government's drug list]," Duterte told Palace reporters on Monday night.

Duterte said individuals whose names are written in the list are still alive.

"Why would I include the names of those slain in the updated [drug list]. The updated one includes those who are still alive," he said.

Last week, Duterte showed an "updated" drug list before the mining companies at MalacaƱang Palace.

The President earlier said that his drug list contains the names of around 1,000 individuals involved in the drug operations.

Days before he assumed office last year, Duterte revealed names of government officials, including retired general and Daanbantayan, Cebu Mayor Vicente Loot and slain Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog. (SunStar Philippines)
