ANAK Kaugmaon Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization formed by Southern Philippines Medical Center–Department of Pediatrics (SPMC-DP), will hold an international conference on November 30 at SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang Premier, Davao City geared to raise funds to support the medical expenses of indigent children confined in the hospital.
According to Dr. Aileen Elorde, head of SPMC section of Allergology and Immunology, the event dubbed as, #YOUTHCONNECT: Raising Smart and Good Children (How to help Young People Succeed in Life in the All-About-Me World) is expected to gather 2,000 various stakeholders from different sectors of the society.
The conference is open to parents, community leaders, educators, and health care providers to discuss the pressing issues confronting the youth nowadays in the modern age.
Dr. Michelle Borba from the United States of America (USA), an internationally acclaimed speaker, will talk during the activity. She is the world’s most sought-after speakers on teaching and parenting for character formation. She is also an award-winning author of 23 best-selling books on character, self-esteem and behavior.
They hope to inculcate to the attendees noble endeavor to push forward the welfare of the children in order to shape their minds to be a good citizens of the country.
Tickets are priced at P1,000 each and proceeds will go to the foundation. The participants will also be granted Professional Regulation Commission- Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units granted by Philippine Pediatric Society, Philippine Medical Association and the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians.
