CEBU City Mayor Tomas Osmeña agreed with the result of the Waze survey tagging Cebu as the worst place to drive in.
He said traffic in the city got worst because the previous administration blocked the construction of flyovers.
Traffic signal lights in the city have also become obsolete.
There are also problems on Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) areas like IT Park, as there are many buildings but not enough parking spaces.
To solve this, Osmeña said there should be strict implementation on parking requirements on new construction and condominiums, upgrade traffic lights, and implement the Bus Rapid Transit or BRT, among others. (PDF/SunStar Cebu)
