P150,000 bounty for former Mandaue councilor's killers

THE local government of Santander, Cebu, is offering a reward of P150,000 for the information on the killers of former Mandaue City Councilor Beethoven "Toben" Andaya.

Cebu Provincial Police Office Director Eric Noble said that investigators are trying their best to solve the crime, adding that the reward for anyone who can give information leading to the killers’ arrest is a big help.

He received the letter from Santander Mayor Marilyn Wenceslao on Monday, September 25.

Andaya was found dead inside a room of a resort in Barangay Liloan, Santander on September 11.

Noble said they have identified the two "persons of interest" in Andaya's murder.

The Mandaue City Government is also offering a P200,000 reward.

Noble said the Provincial Intelligence Branch is helping Santander Police Station in solving the murder. A reenactment in the crime scene was done last week.(KAL)
