P2-M bounty up for cops in killings allegedly ordered by Parojinogs

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte is offering P2 million bounties for each policeman who is involved in killings allegedly ordered by the Parojinog family in Ozamiz City.

During his speech at the 116th Police Service Anniversary Wednesday afternoon, Duterte said he would give the P2-million reward to anyone who could find, either "dead or alive," the individuals behind the supposed mass grave earlier reported to the authorities.

"Like the policemen who are now shortlisted in the killing of so many civilians buried in a cemetery there at the back of a barangay hall, each of the policemen carried on their head now, I'm announcing P2 million per head. And you are free to go and leave," the President said before the policemen at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

"Track at those P2 million of those idiots of you're men there fucking the Filipino. P2-million per head, dead or alive. Better dead because I have to pay for the funeral parlor," he added.

Ozamiz City police reportedly found bones when they conducted an excavation at an alleged mass grave in Cogon village, which was allegedly created by a notorious group linked to Parojinog clan.

The exhumation came days after the July 30 bloody drug raids that resulted in the killings of 16 individuals, including Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, his wife, and his two siblings.

Parojinog was earlier named by the President as among the government officials involved in illicit drug trade.

In his speech, Duterte also revealed his plan to visit Ozamiz City, following the police simultaneous anti-drug operations in the city.

The Chief Executive said he intends to hunt down those who are conniving with the Parojinog family.

"I will be visiting Ozamiz. I will not tell you when," Duterte said.

"But I will warn the policemen there, the companions of Parojinog and his cahoots who are members of the PNP and who are responsible for the deaths of the six soldiers before, you will have your comeuppance. I will see to it that you too will get fair share," he added.

Duterte also reiterated that he would kill all those who continue to be involved in the illegal drugs trade.

"All the criminals here, if you insist on a drug war, I will kill you all. I will kill you. That is my warning. Do not destroy my country," the President said.

On August 2, Duterte defended the policemen who conducted the anti-drug operations against Parojinog, insisting that they were just following his order to “destroy the organization of the [drug] supplier, the [drug] users and everybody connected with the organization.”

Duterte said Parojinog was part of the “organization” that allowed the exacerbation of drug menace in the country.

“The police and the military should make sure that their enemies are dead. Otherwise, if the other guys can still pull the trigger, you will end up with a dead police or a dead military soldier. Why would I allow that? I am the Commander-in-Chief of all the armed forces in the Philippines, remember that,” the President told reporters on August 2.

“It’s not just you pick one enemy at a time. You are up against an organization. Parojinog has been there and you can ask an ordinary citizen of Ozamis. Ask them how many police have already died because they’re not following orders. They’re running the city as if it was a feudal state of the family,” he added. (SunStar Philippines)
