A FATHER is in hiding after he shot and killed his 12-year-old son after a heated argument with another son.
In an investigation led by Senior Police Officer 1 Arnel Iriarte, Marcelo Tadlip Sr., 42, an employee of the Davao City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) was quarrelling with his older son Reden, 18, on Sunday on the upper floor of their house at the Old Smokey Mountain, Diversion Road, Barangay Langub, Talomo District of this city.
The squabble between the two ended up with Arnel grabbing his gun that he kept inside and firing this four times toward the floor at 8:10 a.m.
His son, Marcelo Jr., a grade five student was seated right below and was hit.
Marcelo, Jr. was rushed to the Davao Adventist Hospital but he was already dead.
The boy's body was brought to the Saint Peter's Funeral Parlor in Toril.
Marcelo Sr. has not reported for work.
