Pacatiw eyeing stint in Brave CF 9

AFTER an impressive victory in his last outing, Team Lakay’s Jeremy Pacatiw returned to the cage as he seeks his third straight victory in Brave Combat Federation.

Pacatiw, although his opponent has yet to be announced, will see action in the undercard of the bantamweight title clash between fellow Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman against Gurdarshan Mangat from Canada.

“This will be one of our busiest month as several of our fighters will be seeing action in international competition,” said coach Mark Sangiao.

Pacatiw, whose records stands at 5-1-0, has joined One Championship lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon and Gina Iniong in their training camp as he seeks to score another victory that would put him closer to a possible shot at the title.

The University of the Cordilleras student is enjoying a two fight win streak after stopping Thiago dela Coleta in round two of their supposed three round encounter in Brazil last August and a split decision win against Chaitanya Gavali.

The Loman – Mangat tiff will headline "Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions" and will be held at Khalifa Sports City in Bahrain on November 17 as part of the 2017 Brave International Combat Week, which also features IMMAF World Championships.

With eight wins in his career, Loman is on a three fight win streak, including a victory against Frans Mlambo, one of the sparring partners of Conor McGregor, trained by coach John Kavanagh at the SBG Gym.

The Team Lakay fighter also scored a huge upset against former PXC title contender Mark Abelardo.

Mangat on the other hand is on a six-fight win streak and in his previous fight, he defeated India’s top featherweight fighter, Abdul Muneer, in a catch weight fight that went one-sided, giving him a unanimous victory.

Mangat trains in Canada and has 10 victories in his professional career with a single loss. (Roderick Osis0
