This December, we are celebrating the 41st year anniversary edition of Silahis ng Pasko sa Baguio. We are deeply touched by the very generous gesture of Dr. Agbayani and the JHMC Board Officers, especially at this time where – honestly we need cooperation, understanding and support to keep our Yuletide Season Calendar of events alive, meaningful and purposeful.

Tomorrow, Sunday, December 7, the exciting and premier presentation of Silahis ng Pasko is the Philippine Military Academy, AFP Cadets Day at the Park Program. Once again, the most awaited silent drill exhibition by an elite company from the Cord of Cadets will surely entertain and wow the spectators with their razor sharp marching formation maneuvers, manual of arms execution and even their modern dance dancing talent and skills. This will be held at Burnham Park. This Special emersion program to bring the PMA closer to the people and vice versa is dedicated to Senior Citizens led by the BARD Foundation, FBASECA, PGRA, VFP-CAR/Baguio District, the hardworking teachers of the CSWDO Day Care Centers, athletes and sportsmen and all SNP participants and event sponsors as well as the general public visitors of the city in particular. By and the large the Baguio Lucky Balikbayans and CAR-Baguio International Sportsmen-athletes Day is on December 27.

We have started the quest for the individual lucky Balikbayans, the Lucky Balikbayan Couple, the lucky Balikbayan family the Balik ng Balik Balikbayans whoo will be the honorees for the occasion.

Please let us know if you have balikbayan relatives or friends who will be in the city during the holiday season. Our contact telephone numbers are 442-2931 or 44-7893 c/o Mrs. Fangasan or this writer. Salamat po.

In our recent meeting, Prof. Balanag with a big smile said, the BARP Foundation Office along Otek Street will be transferring to its new venue on the second week of January next year.

With God’s blessing, the new office will be located at the 4th floor of the on-going construction of the six-storey BARP multi-Purpose center along Bokawkan Road.

Certainly, this is good news to every BARPer! A simple blessing program to celebrate the momentous episode is presently being prepared by the foundation's special event committee.
