THE Philippines Football League (PFL) Board ruled that the PFL inaugural finals between Ceres Negros FC and Global Cebu FC will be staged at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City on December 16 at 6 p.m.
It was decided too that Rizal Memorial Stadium will host the battle for third match between FC Meralco Manila and Kaya FC Makati on December 15.
PFL's decision that Panaad Park and Stadium will host the finals was based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, venue availability, commercial, marketing, and financial considerations as provided under Article 2.11.
Moreover, Panaad and Park Stadium had also hosted international events such as the AFC Cup and the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers.
Global Cebu FC has written the PFL for their intention to host the finals.
However, the PFL cited that while Ceres FC and Meralco FC have signified their intention to host the finals during their initial meeting last November 29, Global FC proclaimed that Cebu City Sports Center is unavailable due to pitch and lighting conditions.
PFL chief executive officer Lazarus Xavier congratulated the two teams in the finals.
