Pangan: Dangerous implications

THERE is danger in malicious imputations or the allusions to wrongdoings of someone which later turn out to be false.

There are several platforms used in imputing anomalies to somebody, foremost of which is the social media where people with shallow and unproductive schedules spend time to bash anybody who incur their ire or fancy.

The latest "casualty" is, of all people, Clark Development Corporation president and chief executive officer Noel Flores Manankil who was alleged to demand bribes from locators inside the Clark Freeport Zone. Is this possible, I may ask. Mr. Manankil comes from a respected family with substantial means and business connections. I have scant information about his background by my passing knowledge about his educational and career attainment can bring justification to this piece.

Reportedly, accusations of wrongdoing have already reached President Duterte and the latter is now agitating for in-depth investigation on the matter to ferret out the truth.
