OPERATORS of public utility vans in Davao City have been ordered to remove the tint on their windows.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte issued the order to vans plying the Cotabato City-Davao City route.
"I've warned you many times. I will task police authorities to remove dark tints. To make it easier for them, I can order them to remove the entire windows instead,” he said during the Gikan Sa Masa, Para sa Masa yesterday.
"I want these vans to have clear windows so the police and I, and even the rebels if they want to, are all able to see who are inside. There could be criminals aboard," he said.
He said there is a law that bans dark tinted windows on public utility vehicles.
Violators face a P600 fine. (ANC)
