PCC graduates top respiratory therapist board exam

SIX GRADUATES of the Pines City Colleges (PCC) in Baguio City are among the topnotchers during the September 2016 Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination.

Ruth Cuyam-An Sacla with a rating of 89.00 percent topped licensure examination given by the Board of Respiratory Therapy in Manila, Baguio, Davao and Zamboanga this September 2016.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said 582 out of 818 examinees passed the board exam.

Other topnotchers from PCC are Paul Dagasen Ablaza and Ma Teresa Sison Asprec who are in the Top 4 with a rating of 87.25%, sixth ranked Jayrea Charil Ongat Eloan with a 86.75% rating, seventh place Christopher Ian Lebid Adagao with a 86.50% and 10th placer Rowell De Vera Mamaril with 85.75 % rating.

PCC had an 88% rating with 22 passers out of the 25 examinees.

Meanwhile, Saint Louis University is among the universities nationwide that topped the August 2016 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination.

SLU had a 100 percent rating with all its 80 examinees passing the licensure examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Tuguegarao in August 2016. 4,144 out of 5,126 examinees passed said board examination.

For the August 2016 Psychometrician Licensure Examination, two examinees from the Cordillera Region are also among the topnotchers.

Cordi Sumkad Javier Atitiw of SLU is in the third spot with a rating of 85.20 while Jake Cornelio Antero Diaus of the University of the Cordilleras is placed ninth with a rating of 83.80.

The Psychometrician Licensure Examination was given by the Board of Psychology in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena with 3,690 passers out of 7,312 examinees.

A psychometrician is someone who practices the science of educational and psychological measurement, or in other words, testing. Psychometricians measure the validity, reliability, and fairness of an exam program and are an integral part in the process of creating valid and reliable language tests.

According to the PRC, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. They are encouraged to visit to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. (Redjie Melvic Cawis/PIA-CAR)
