PCSO records P10-B increase on fund generation

ANGELES CITY -- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has recorded a 35 percent or P10-billion increase on its fund generation this year compared to last year.

This was learned from PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan who led other officials of the agency in Luzon during a meeting with Pampanga officials and newsmen men the other day.

Balutan disclosed that from January to September this year, PCSO has earned a total of P38,257,574,654, an increase of almost P10 billion on its income during the same period in 2016.

During his presentation of accomplishment to Pampanga officials led by Governor Lilia Pineda, Balutan stated that PCSO’s revenue from Small Town Lottery (STL) alone increased by 178 percent or P6,651,351,928.

PCSO’s income this year reached a total amount of P10,382,682,774 compared to last year of P3,731,331,856, according to him.

Other PCSO games include Lotto with P23,984,260,000 income, Lotto Express (Keno) with P3,878,131,580, and Sweepstakes with P12,500,000 as of September this year.

In terms of medical assistance, Balutan reported that the PCSO was able to share P750,308,701 of its revenues to congressional districts P77,618,141, cities and municipalities with P310,472,566, provinces with P103,490,855, and PNP and CIDG with P258,727,138 this year.
