AUTHORITIES seized sachets with suspected residue of shabu, drug paraphernalia and other contraband inside the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City on Wednesday morning, October 25.
Superintendent Mario Baquiran Jr., the Cebu Provincial Public Safety Company commander, said they conducted the greyhound search past 6 a.m. with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas.
They confiscated P44,593 cash, three calculators, a radio, five speakers, electronic tester, four batons, two rolls of rope, disposable lighters, 33 cell phone batteries and other electronic devices.
Several cell phone chargers, headsets, bladed weapons and gambling devices were also seized from the inmates. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
