Peloton, Cruz lift CMO's 9th win

MICHAEL Peloton and Jaime Cruz stepped up in a big way as the City Mayor's Office (CMO) stormed past Everball Columbia Computer Center, 114-89, in Game 9 of the 2015 Basketball Friendly Series at the Almendras Gym Davao City Recreation Center.

Peloton fired 34 points and Cruz shared the spotlight with in 16 baskets as the City Hall dribblers cruised past the Everball Columbia team that slacked off in its defense.

CMO's output was the highest and the win margin was the biggest so far in the series dominated by CMO.

Christopher "Bong" Go put up his usual numbers, making 38 points with six baskets from behind the arc.

Reyes led Everball Columbia with 34 points as Cabrera and Suarez contributing 14 and 13, respectively.

Peloton and Cruz backstopped Go significantly in this game with their scoring romps while Glenn Escandor carried the loads of CMO in Game 8.

Escandor shot seven triples to finish with 21 points in CMO's 78-74 victory in the last outing. Joel Aberilla also contributed significantly for CMO.
