Peppers on seafood

HO HO! Christmas always has something in store for us, especially for those who are fond of Bangus!

Sarangani Bay, a globally recognized and trusted brand of premium deboned milkfish not only here in the country but in other nations as well, is now partnering with the Peppers Ibericaresto which you can visit at Door 9, Asaje IV building, Mabini St. in Davao City fronting Stockbridge International School (former tumble tots).

Just last December 1, members of the media had the taste of what Sarangani bay has to offer via Peppers Ibericaresto which would soon be incorporating the renowned seafood products on their menu.

Export and Marketing head of Sarangani Bay Products VisMin Jeje Cabrera said that he suggested to help the owner of the resto, Chiqui and Allan Peter Aportadera, celebrate the establishment’s first anniversary.

The partnership began in an encounter with the owners, Cabrera said.

“[I] told them that ‘let me help you celebrate. I’ll provide you the fish and you can cook it in a way that you want it’,” this was part of the conversation they had during the encounter as Cabrera shared.

He also added that after tasting the resto’s specialty, the Iberian Chicken-which is specially prepared and cooked for two hours, Cabrera concluded that the owner is someone who can cook their fish products. The owners also gladly embraced the suggestion.

Among the products that they are selling include milkfish, live shrimps and Tilapia, among others. They are the supplier of seafood products to supermarkets and restaurants nationwide.

Aside from that, they are also exporting to various countries like the United States, Guam, Canada, Singapore, Japan, and countries in Europe and the Middle East.

The company is known as the largest breeder, processor and exporter of premium branded milkfish products under the Sarangani Bay Trademark.

There are nearly 7,000 metric tons of fish that are farmed by the company in Sarangani Bay and they are proud of their 25 years of technical expertise in aquaculture. Their farm operations focus on milkfish but they also include pompano, sea bass, snapper, grouper and vannamei shrimps.

The company runs the only fully integrated aquaculture operation with its own 40 hectare fish hatchery, 72,000 cubic meters of sea cages, 360 hectares of brackish water ponds and a processing plant located right on the farm site.

Another surprise…name all the big restos here in the City and you’ll know that they are also supplying seafood products there. So if are craving for a seafood recipe with a twist then you know where to visit next.

You can always get lost there at Peppers. (With PR)
