CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –- The Kapampangan race boasts of a rich cultural heritage, but it has no fitting home to call its own – thus the need to establish the Kapampangan Cultural Center (KCC), which has been initiated by the Foundation for Lingap Kapampangan, Inc (FLKI).
The FLKI, in cooperation with the San Fernando Light and Power Co. (SFELAPCO) and the Laus Group of Companies, is appealing to Kapampangans to continue helping build the KCC by watching one of the world’s best and most awarded choral groups – the Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz) - on June 23, 7 p.m., at the Laus Group Event Centre in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Joining the Madz in this concert-for-a-cause are the Nightingales and The Sacerdos, Pampanga's singing priests, with the special participation of Alfred Samonte and Lisette Velasco.
Kapampangans may not only enjoy a world-class concert, but they will also be preserving the Kapampangan heritage by donating to the museum, by way of ticket purchases. One of the advocacies of the FLKI, led by president Ma. Theresa Laus, is to raise the awareness of Fernandinos on their cultural heritage.
