PHILIPPINES and Cambodia signed a memorandum of understanding on transnational crimes during the second day of President Rodrigo Duterte's official state visit in Phnom Penn.
Duterte's bilateral negotiation with leaders of Cambodia went successful as they proceeded to the signing of the MOU on cooperation in combating transnational crimes.
Apart from that, the Philippine and Cambodia governments also signed an MOU concerning the cooperation in the field of labor on sports cooperation and tourism cooperation.
The implementation of tourism deal, said Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo, would revitalize tourism relations between the Philippines and Cambodia.
The signing of four contracts at the Peace Palace in the country's capital Phnom Pehn were attended by executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr., Labor Seceetary Silvestre Bello III, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez and Duterte's special assistant Christopher Go.
