PIA Wurtzbach is not closing her doors to be the next "Darna."
In an interview on Wednesday at the press presentation of Binibining Pilipinas 2017, the former beauty queen said she's flattered that people are considering her to play the iconic character.
"Sana," she initially said, then added, "Nagpapasalamat ako na may interes yung mga manonood na ako yung maging Darna, pero hindi ako."
Wurtzbach also hinted that the Kapamilya Network has other plans for her.
"Mukhang iba yung plano ng ABS-CBN," she said.
Before joining Binibining Pilipinas and later on Miss Universe, the 27-year-old was managed by Star Magic, the talent arm of ABS-CBN.
She appeared in teen oriented program "K2BU" and was also part of several shows such as "ASAP," "Your Song," and drama series "Sa Piling Mo."
Wurtzbach’s name was constantly mentioned to reprise the role of "Darna" in the big screen after Star Cinema and ABS-CBN confirmed that Angel Locsin will no longer play the role.
Locsin backed out from the project due to health reasons.
