THE Philippine National Police’s (PNP) elite Special Action Force (SAF) is recruiting more members.
Through a directive from President Rodrigo Duterte, SAF needs 4,000 additional members nationwide, said Senior Insp. San Roget Ho, team leader of the SAF mobile recruitment in Region 7.
“The mere fact that the President sees that SAF is undermanned is the reason we need to have more personnel,” Ho said.
Recruitment is for those with ranks of police officer 1. Aspiring participants will be trained in Manila.
Those who can apply are police officers who are not less than 21 years old and not more than 30 years old.
They should also be a Filipino citizen, must be 5’4” for males and 5’2” for females, and must possess the required eligibility from the National Police Commission and Civil Service Commission.
“They must also not have any derogatory or criminal records. We are calling able-bodied men (to apply). We’re giving you an opportunity to serve the country through patriotic deeds,” Ho said.
Interested applicants from Cebu can go to the Police Regional Office 7 headquarters for more information about the recruitment.
On their Facebook page, PNP said a SAF member will get an annual compensation of P274,152 or P22,354 per month.
They will also receive more than P35,000 worth of benefits yearly.
PNP said those who will be hired will have the opportunity to visit different places because of their deployment. (JOB)
