AN 18-year-old suspected drug pusher was arrested during an Oplan Texthang operation in Barangay Tanke, Talisay City yesterday.

Police arrested Earl John Cimine, 18, after he was caught allegedly carrying 37 sachets of suspected shabu while the police were patrolling in Sitio Galaxy at 1 a.m.

SPO3 Rolando Andales of the Talisay City Police Station said that his team was patrolling in some parts of the city when they received a text message from their Oplan Texthang personnel about an allegedly suspicious person selling drugs in Sitio Galaxy.

Andales said that his team proceeded to the area to verify the information.

Andales’ team saw Cimine and a female companion on board a motorcycle.

The police officer said his team flagged down Cimine for inspection, and he allegedly yielded a plastic box containing sachets of suspected shabu. It was allegedly found in his pants.

Andales said that Cimine is a new player in the illegal drug trading. He is reportedly related to a family in Tanke who has been known in the drug trade.

Cimine will be charged for alleged possession of shabu, a violation of Section 11 of the Comprehensive Anti-Illegal Drugs Act of 2002.

Texthang is an anti-illegal drugs program of the Philippine National Police where they give out load that ranges from P50 to P100 to a tipster, whose information about a drug personality is genuine.
