Price hike on petroleum products, LPG remains stable

PRICES of petroleum products increased while Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) remained stable as of August 10.

Nilo Geroche, chief of the Energy Industry Management Division of Department of Energy (DOE) said that there is an increase of P1 per liter (L) for premium; P0.80/L for diesel; and P0.85/L for kerosene.

The three major oil companies, Petron, Shell and Caltex, have hiked up their petroleum products last Tuesday, August 8. Petron Premium increased to P38.70/L, Diesel to P32.60/L, Kerosene to P39.80/L; Shell Diesel at P32.60/L; and Caltex Diesel P32.6O/L.

Meanwhile, based on the latest price monitoring of DOE, the price of LPG remained stable as of this week.

For the three major LPG companies, Solane is at P730 for 11 kilograms (kg) and P3,603.59 for 50 kg; Gasul is at P699 (11 kg) and P3,174 (50 kg); and Petronas at P729 (11 kg). (Aurelou Mae Sabuga, Regine Carmel Sagayno, and Carmela Anne Salon, ADDU Interns)
