Public warned vs solicitation from ‘fake' employees

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio warned the public against persons who claim they are City Hall workers and will ask solicitations from their houses or business establishments.

Duterte-Carpio, in a press conference Thursday, said the public better report these individuals to the nearest police stations so that the police can do entrapment operations.

As early as November 24, the office of the city mayor has already issued a temporary suspension of inspections in all regulatory offices of the city and this will last until January 2.

"Dili nato gusto na ma mis-interpret sa atong katawhan kining atong mga regulatory offices na naga-solicit for christmas para ma-avoid ang appearance of impropriety bisan gud wala pero basin ma misinterpret sa kanang makadawat ug notice ato nalang nang put on hold, and resume pag wala na ang pasko (I do not want the public to misinterpret that the regulatory offices are doing solicitations for Christmas. Also to avoid the appearance of impropriety, even if it does not exist, but it can be misinterpreted by those who receive notice so we are putting the inspections on hold, and resume after the Christmas season)," said Duterte-Carpio.
