PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Ricardo Marquez announced Wednesday the appointment of Quezon City Police Director (QCPD) director Joel Pagdilao as the new chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Pagdilao, who replaced retired NCRPO chief Carmelo Valmoria, assumed his post in a ceremony at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tiono, director of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operation- South Luzon, succeeded Pagdilao in the QCPD.
Pagdilao, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1984, was appointed as the QCPD director last October, replacing Chief Superintendent Richard Albano who was relieved along with three other Metro Manila police district police chiefs over the increase in crime incidents. (Sunnex)
