Realtors donate for PEF birdwatching, tree planting

THE Davao Board of Realtors Foundation, Inc (DBRFI) has recently donated P50,000 to the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) for their birdwatching and tree planting activities.

The ceremonial turn-over of the donation was done during the induction of new real estate brokers and DBRFI members held in SM Lanang on May 12.

The DBRFI’s donation will help the PEF fund supplies for these activities such as seedlings and land preparation for tree planting, and the fees and food for the birdwatching participants.

These activities are part of the PEF’s project dubbed as “Kids in Nature” to educate children about biodiversity conservation in the urban setting.

“Through the birdwatching activities, we want to remind people that biodiversity conservation is still important even in the urban setting.

For this to come to full realization, we will also do tree planting activities in home subdivisions in the city. DBRFI will help us materialize our efforts,” said PEF Education Administrator Rai Salve Gomez.

Birdwatching is free at the Philippine Eagle Center in Malagos, Davao City every first Saturday of the month at 6:00 a.m.
