A RENTED house at Liroville Subdivision, Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City was razed by fire Monday, leaving an estimated damage of P150,000.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Robert Robillo, investigator of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod, said the fire started around 12:40 p.m. and was put out after 13 minutes.
The fire destroyed the rented house of Josephine Jaype, and the extended portion. The entire structure is owned by Fred Japitana, who rents out three rooms in the extension. The fire broke out from one of the rooms.
Jaype said she has been using the rented house for her sari-sari store and eatery for 16 years now.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of fire. (GYM)
