RMC beats Dranhs, 77-74

THE Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Bulldogs earned a spot in the semifinals after posting a 77-74 victory over Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (Dranhs) in the resumption of RMC's Davao Pride Basketball League (DPBL) Invitational High School Basketball Tournament held at the newly-refurbished Fil-Oil Flying V Arena recently.

The Bulldogs bounced back from their opening game loss by eking out three straight wins.

Bernardo Carpio National High School (BCNHS), who beat RMC in the opener, crushed Thompson Christian School, (TCS) 109-63, to also secure a semifinals berth in bracket A.

The Sta. Ana National High School (SANHS), meanwhile, defeated Governor Duterte National High School (GDNHS), 89-75, as Catalunan Pequeño National High School (CPNHS) tasted its first win against Cabantian National High School (CNHS) 85-80, in the event supported by Rain or Shine, Pioneer Pro, Dovvsales, DeWalt, Hell Energy Drink, Globe, 88.3 Energy FM, Real Wonder Direct Sales, Pepsi, D' Portal International Inc. and Gemini Dream Printshop.

Games will resume on Saturday, October 21, pitting Dranhs against TCS at 8:30 a.m. followed by match between GDNHS against CBNHS at 10 a.m. and Jesus J. Soriano National High School against BCNHS at 1 p.m.

DCNHS will battle CPNHS at 2:30 a.m.
