THE heat is on!
While some raised their brows because of the scorching heat of the sun, most people opted to enjoy the sun’s warmth instead as evidenced by the thousands of tourists who filled up the seven-kilometer crescent-shaped coastline of Dahican Beach to spend their summer vacation.
The untainted beach, facing the Pacific Ocean, has constantly attracted beach worshippers across the globe chasing after its rural setting and unique fusion of pristine white sand, crystal clear water, adventure haven and marine sanctuary that sets it at par with other distinct beaches in the country.
For a short notice, I immediately give my green light to an invitation especially knowing that our destination would be towards Davao Oriental's very own Mati City that is currently enjoying the growing attention it gets from local and foreign tourists alike.
Unlike its renowned “sleeping dinosaur,” Mati City has long been awakened, waiting to be noticed. Apparently, the wait was finally over as it has now become a must-visit beach in Mindanao and has even become one of the recognized top tourist hubs in the country, offering both a scenic seascape of a lifetime and relaxing experience to its visitors.
The long drive from Davao City was worth to take especially with the rewarding fun-filled travel and the mesmerizing blue sea of Dahican.

I've been hearing positive feedbacks from my friends about this resort and when we checked in, I was able to confirm it myself. They are giving their clients a whole new level of vacation experience with top-quality services, facilities and a beautiful view.
The resort is located in Sitio Pitugo, Barangay Bobon in Mati City which is a 30-minute ride from the City Proper. The breeze of the beach, which is surrounded by islands, emits peace and different kinds of relaxation after a tiring trip.
It has a natural amulet that could make beach-goers take a dip down there or swim in their luxurious pool and enjoy the stunning sunrise or sunset dominating the sky. This is very ideal for family, friends or even lovers.

Mati City has successfully established itself as the host of the Philippine’s highly-anticipated summer beach party in the country, Summerfrolic.
Now on its fourth edition, Summerfrolic remains to be the top choice of every party-goers and favorite venue for squad goals all over the country and I am not an exception to this as I didn’t let summer passed without grooving and hipping to the festive music of the party at La-ne's Kalapyahan, Dahican Beach, Mati City, Davao Oriental.
Although I am not really into party, upbeat music could still make me groove (well not in super good way). The different color of lights striking through the foams added glee and vibrancy to every picture I took.
