School teacher from New Lucena wins brand new Toyota Vios

A TEACHER from Jelicuon Cabugao National High School in New Lucena, Iloilo won the grand prize in an anniversary raffle promo of the Iloilo Provincial Employees and Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (IPECMPC) drawn last Saturday, March 18.

Andro Castellano, who bought only four tickets, got the surprise of his life when he received a call from IPECMPC Director Romeo Andig late Saturday afternoon to inform him of his winning.

“When I filled up the tickets I said to myself that I will win the grand prize,” Castellano recalled.

He said it is already the fourth time that he won the grand prize in the raffle draws that he joined in.

“This is an advance birthday gift for me since I will be turning 36 years old this coming March 27,” Castellano added.

The bachelor school teacher teaches Math, Physical Education and Personal Development subjects to students from Grades 7 to 11.

Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. picked the winning grand prize ticket which bore Castellano’s name.

- 4th Major Prize (Sony Rave Karaoke): Rolly John Robles, Sara, Iloilo (Ticket No. 016144); Renan Bergante, Janiuay, Iloilo (Ticket No. 020823); and Monica Fuentes, Balasan, Iloilo (Ticket No. 027723)

- 5th Major Prize (Sony LED TV 32’): Carrie Ann Belaong, Magsaysay Village, La Paz, I.C. (Ticket No. 025097); Hayde Marie Gayapa , Oton, Iloilo (Ticket No. 5440); and Mary Ann Mamon, Quezon City (Ticket No. 024914)

IPECMPC is a multi-purpose and credit cooperative that promotes savings and building of funds. It recently became an open type cooperative, extending services to the communities of the Iloilo Provincial employees. (PR)
