AFTER two years without a title fight, Bacolod City’s pride and undefeated Genesis “Azukal” Servania is back to chase the vacant World Boxing Organization Asia-Pacific featherweight belt tonight at the Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Ishikawa in Japan.
Servania of Barangay Punta Taytay (28 wins, 11 KOs) will face fellow Filipino Ralph Jhon “Bomber” Lulu (12- 1-2 win-draw-loss 5KOs) and hoping to extend his winning streak.
After this regional boxing champion moved in to Japan few years ago, many of his Filipino fans are eager to see him back in another title fight against big names in his division.
His last title match was in February of 2015 where he defended his belt against Mexican Juan Luis Hernandez via unanimous decision in Davao City.
In September last year, he won against Alexander Espinoza via unanimous decision and got the same result against Indonesian Hendrik Barongsay in New Year's Day of 2015.
Servania reiterated that he’s been training for months ahead of this fight and optimistic to win another regional title as a step for a bigger world championship. (HGD)
