BACOLOD City-hailed and reigning WBO Asia Pacific featherweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania closed the year 2017 with flying colors after a huge opening round knockout against Thai Kittiwat Sirichotchayakun last December 17 at Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Japan.
For Servania (30-1, 12 KOs), the victory was a great moment for him to redeem himself ahead of 2018, following his title fight loss to undefeated Mexican champion Oscar Valdez (23-0, 19 KOs) in Arizona last September.
Not knowing what’s at stake in his career next year, this victory served as a tune-up for another upcoming title bout.
The 26-year-old Bacolodnon fighter from Barangay Punta Taytay said that he has been in tough training after his return to Japan, following a short vacation in his hometown in October. (HGD)
