Sexagenarian hit by stray bullet

A SEXAGENARIAN was injured after she was hit by a stray bullet Tuesday morning, April 4, at Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City.

The victim was identified as Milba Azucena, 60.

Police records showed Ryan Nacion, 34, pacified a commotion between his mother and Vincent Regalado, 26, who was armed.

The suspect, who was reportedly under the influence of intoxicating liquor, fired at Nacion, who was unharmed.

The bullet, however, hit the elderly victim, who was sleeping.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound on her back, was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the suspect fled.

The police are still investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, a laborer was injured when unidentified assailant fired at him inside their house at Barangay Canlusong in E.B Magalona Monday.

Police identified the victim as Armando Seguiro, 19.

Police Officer 3 Konnan Tampos, investigator of E.B Magalona Municipal Police Station, said Seguiro, along with his parents and live-in partner, was already sleeping when an unidentified man fired at them with a shotgun.

The victim sustained multiple wounds while his family was unhurt. (MAP)
