PILIPINAS Shell formally launched its latest breakthrough in fuel technology, an advanced V-Power fuel on Wednesday, July 26, at the Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City.
The new Shell V-Power is an improved version of the previous V-Power fuel launched on 2012 created by over 170 fuel scientists across the five fuel technology centers in the world.
Engineer Mae Ascan, Pilipinas Shell Fuel scientist, said they infused Dynaflex Technology in the new V-Power fuel to help restore up to 100 percent of a vehicle engine's performance by reducing friction in the engine.
"The new formulation of our most advanced V-Power fuel makes you feel like driving a new car," Ascan said.
Acsan said that the Dynaflex technology also removes and prevents the build-up of fuel system deposits and reducing wasted energy, seeing it as the best fuel in their years of fuel innovation.
Pilipinas Shell Brand Manager Marcia Angel Abas said the new V-Power fuel is the answer to the customers' need for a change of fuel formulation that could keep up with the evolving traffic and driving conditions in this generation.
Abas said 250 cars driving a total distance of three million kilometers were used to test the advanced V-Power fuel.
Abas added that Scuderia Ferrari, an iconic Formula 1 race team, even co-engineered and recommended the new formulated fuel.
At present, Shell has 230 gasoline stations all around Mindanao, in which 40 of it are situated in the city.
"We already launched this new V-Power in Luzon since last month, and now in Davao City. We are going to launch it in Visayas, specifically in Cebu, next week," Abas said.
