CLARK FREEPORT -- Hundreds of kids from three shelter homes in Pampanga are the first group to experience the world-class amenities and swimming pools inside the Aqua Planet, the country’s biggest water theme park situated inside the Freeport.
Dr. Irineo Alvaro, chairman of the Bridges and Benevolent Initiatives International (BBI) Foundation, said the children came from Duyan Ni Maria Children’s Home in Mabalacat City, International Children’s Care Philippines Foundation in Floridablanca town and Reception and Study Center for Children in Lubao town.
Alvaro said they decided to invite the shelter children during the facility’s dry run as part of the company and foundation’s corporate social responsibility.
“Gusto namin ang kauna-unahang makatikim nung facility ay yung hindi kayang i-afford. Ito yung essence bakit pinili namin yung mga bata sa orphanage,” Alvaro said.
Another group of children from various indigent communities in the province will also be allowed to visit the place on November 25 and succeeding weeks, according to him.
“In fact, sa November 25 another group so sunud-sunod iyan. Ang soft opening kasi naminhanggang maaari mag reach out muna kami. Kaya tinatawag, hindi muna ibebenta yung mga tickets in the next few months. Tapos yung mga special occasions lang ng mga corporate,” Alvaro added.
Aqua Planet, a five-star facility inside a 10-hectare property, is the newest and most modern water theme park in the country and Asia that will attract foreign and local tourists, according to Alvaro.
“Ito yung isang nilagay natin dito upang bigyan ng dahilan ang tao na mag stay ng matagal. Kasi dati kapag nag-Clark ka ginagawa mo lang parang daanan papuntang Subic at hindi ka mag-stay ng matagal,” he said.
“Aqua Planet, which will also have a hotel and other amenities, will serve the people in an affordable manner but experiencing a five star facility with reasonable price when we started selling tickets,” Alvaro added.
