#SHORTS: Duterte says no genocide in his bloody drug war; Comelec halts ballot printing for October polls; Suspected Iloilo drug lord killed in Caticlan

WAR ON DRUGS. President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday that his bloody anti-drug campaign that has left nearly 1,800 people dead does not amount to genocide , but that he's ready to go to jail to defend his men from lawsuits.

ELECTIONS. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has temporarily halted the printing of ballots that will supposedly be used for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections this October.

SHOOTING. Suspected drug lord Melvin Odicta was shot dead together with his wife Miriam in Caticlan Port, a police official confirmed Monday.
