Silliman U, UNO-R grads rule Medical Technologist board exam

TWO graduates of Silliman University (SU) in Dumaguete City ranked first and second while an examinee from University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) in Bacolod City placed ninth in the August 2016 Medical Technologist (MedTech) Licensure Examination.

SU’s Roselle Louise Publico was the topnotcher with a rating of 91.10 percent while Clarisse Joan Cadano ranked second with 90.70 percent.

Thea Franchette Andrei Villa of UNO-R got 89.60 percent for number nine.

UNO-R was among the only four schools with a passing percentage of 100 percent. All its 83 examinees passed.

SU registered a passing rate of 96.15 percent – 150 of its 156 examinees hurdled the board examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced Thursday that 4,144 out of 5,126 examinees passed.

The examination, held on August 27 and 28, was given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Tuguegarao.
