Simply Scribe

TECHNOLOGY has made our lives easier. With just a click, messages can be sent in under a minute. But way before the digital age, there was the craft of handwriting.

Specialty stores like Scribe Writing Essentials exist to remind people about the beauty in writing with pen and paper.

Scribe was founded in 2002 and offers a wide range of products for one’s writing needs from premium quality pens to journals, notebooks and stationery; with fountain pen selections from world-renowned brands like Pelikan, Sailor Japan, Platinum Japan, TWSBI, Kaweco, J. Herbin and Noodler’s. It has seven retail stores; five in Metro Manila and one each located at Ayala Center Cebu and SM City Cebu.

Recently, it invited Cebu media guests to its rebranding last Nov. 22. Apart from the change of the logo, is the change of the name. What was once known as Scribe Writing Essentials is now simply referred to as Scribe. The re-branding was held at Workplace Café located at F. Ramos St.; an ideal venue as it not only presented to the guests its products but also showcased the venue, as the café’s vibe is similar to the new look of Scribe’s store at the Glorietta branch based on the dark wood fixtures. Scribe is adding more accessories to enhance the whole writing experience as well as brands like Tools to Live By, Hightide, Penco and Nade.

Tomorrow, Dec. 2, Scribe will hold a free capsule class with mentors like Aj Tabino for brush calligraphy, Marryl Erojo for journaling and Camille Go for floral watercolor at Treat Street Café, Ayala Center Cebu.
