Sky launches 2 newest products

SKY, one of the leading cable and broadband providers in the country launched on Wednesday, January 18, at the Marco Polo Hotel-Davao its newest products – One Sky and Skydirect.

Jerome Almirante, head for converged products and digital for Sky, in a product presentation during its Davao launching said the launch enables Davao as the latest region in the country to get to experience the superior brand of entertainment.

“We recognize that there is a changing habits and increasing reliance on internet connectivity by the consumers. That is why we keep abreast of the situation by providing new products that would answer the new demand and holistic needs of consumers in this Digital Age,” he said.

One Sky

Almirante introduced one of its new offers, One Sky, an all-in-one subscription plan that integrates high-speed internet of SKYbroadband, premium HD cable TV via SKYcable, reliable mobile internet through SKYmobi and live and on-demand video streaming through SKY On Demand.

The new product, Almirante said, is seen to give all subscribers “an enriching, convenient and superior digital entertainment experience.”

“One Sky is a bundle that offers a seamless connected experience to families through only one subscription,” Almirante said.

Jericho Marcos, general manager of Sky–Davao, for his part, said the product comes in premium and lite plans.

One Sky Premium Plans offer postpaid subscription plans starting at P1,599 per month with internet speeds ranging from 8 to 64 megabytes per second (Mbps) for unlimited home consumption paired with corresponding strong lineup of cable TV channels. For those who are always on the go, mobile internet access via SKYmobi may also be added for as low as P499 per month.

The lite plan, meanwhile, is available with internet connection ranging from 4Mbps to 8Mbps with consumable data allowance of at least 20 gigabytes plus high definition cable TV and can be added with mobile internet. The lite plan offers postpaid subscription plans starting at P699 per month.

Skydirect

For those consumers settled in far-flung areas, they can now have an access to the best content through Skydirect, a direct–to-home pay TV service.

“Similar to SkyCable, this new product (Skydirect) showcases a mix of foreign and local cable channels,” Abigail Ng Sy, head for Skydirect, said.

She added that costumers have an option to subscribe to pay-per-view offerings, as well as free monthly movie marathons.

The Skydirect product is available in prepaid plans which start at P99 and postpaid plans starting at P250 per month.

Sky, a subsidiary company of ABS-CBN which started in 1990, ended 2016 with one million subscribers nationwide, of which 200,000 are broadband subscribers.

Sky has three strategic offices in Davao City located in Gaisano Mall of Davao, NCCC Mall and SM Lanang. This March, another office will be established in Gaisano Mall-Toril.
