CLARK FREEPORT -- SM City Clark will open its new five-storey building today.
SM City Clark mall manager Ana Datu said there will be a simple ceremony and blessing during the soft opening.
"We just want people to know that we have a new food court and cyber zone at our new building," Datu said.
Some of the tenants are still constructing their stores, but Datu said the stalls will be filled by local and multi-national brands until next year.
Venus Manalang, SM City Clark public relations manager, said spaces from the third up to the fifth floor of the new building are reserved for business process outsourcing or call centers.
Some 14 international cuisines will also highlight the food court opening, according to Manalang.
She added that the grand opening of the SM Clark Annex will be in October this year.
Leroy Barrion, SM City Clark customer relations services chief, said they increased the number of security personnel manning the SM Clark Annex in case of customer influx.
He added that mall operation is normal aside from the ongoing interior construction of stalls at the new building.
