Solenn Heussaff relishes Pinoy Christmas

FOR a self-confessed workaholic, Solenn Heussaff said she's always looking forward to Christmas season as she gets to relax and spend quality time with her family.

The Kapuso star is one of the busiest actresses today. She appears in primetime series "Encantadia," hosting "Travel Buddies" and recently top billed comedy show "A1 Ko Sa 'Yo" and reality program "It Girls."

Aside from that, she's juggling roles as a new wife and an artist -- she's currently busy working on her second art exhibit.

That's why, during her downtime, she prefers to stay at home and cook. "When I'm not working, mas gusto kong magpahinga. Nasa bahay lang, nagpi-paint or nagluluto. Those are the things that I enjoy doing."

She’s always on the lookout for new recipes.

"Mahilig akong magluto at ako talaga ang namimili ng mga groceries ko. Never akong nagpabili sa iba. Mas maganda ang preparation kapag ikaw ang personally na pumili ng pagkain mo.”

This holiday season, Heussaff said she's looking forward to Noche Buena. And for someone who spent many Christmases abroad, she said celebrating that special day with family in the Philippines never gets old.

"Yun ang gusto ko rito sa Philippines. Mahilig tayong mag-decorate. Kahit hindi pa Christmas, three months before, Christmas na agad. You hear Christmas songs on the radio. Sa bawat kanto, may Christmas lights na. You really feel the joy and spirit."

Aside from enjoying a hearty meal prepared by her mom and brother Erwan, the actress said they usually have games and exchange gifts.

"We always have cheese, caviar and ham. Pinaka-favorite ko ‘yung ham every Christmas."

Asked what she's bringing this year to their dining table, Heussaff immediately said ham. That's why it is only fitting that the 31-year-old was picked as the newest endorser of Holiday Ham by CDO Premium.

"I am happy to endorse a product I believe in. I am very picky on which brand to choose. I want something that's real and authentic," she said.

The actress added that choosing the right ham for Noche Buena does not only mean a happy tummy, but an authentic holiday experience.

"It's for everybody who believes in giving themselves the best of everything," she ended. (Sunnex)
