AT LEAST 14 sporting events are lined up in the month-long Baguio City Charter Day celebration which kicked off Monday.
More than P350,00 worth of prizes are at stake.
The annual Baguio Day Scrabble Tournament hosted by the Baguio-Benguet Word Builders Club will be played August 29-30 coinciding with the Baguio Day Wushu Invitational Championships.
Hundreds of bike enthusiasts from Baguio, Benguet, as far as Region 1 will ride at the 3rd Bag-iw Mountain Bike Cross Road Challenge will kick off at the Burnham Park Area on August 30.
A billiards tournament is scheduled on the same day.
There will be a tennis tournament at the Baguio Tennis Club starting August 29.
Dartwars, a darts tournament, fires off on September 4.
The annual Mr. Baguio-Domalsin Cup will showcase the best muscle men in the region on September 4.
Shin Shin Karatedo Inc. will host Sports Karatedo Against Drug Abuse on September 6, while hundreds of running aficionados are seen to be present on the 2015 Baguio Day Run which will gun start at the Lake Drive in Burnham Park on September 12.
