Steag cited for people development efforts

THE People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) cited energy producer Steag State Power Inc (SPI) for its relentless support to the organization’s plans and programs.

PMAP National President Atty. Josephus Jimenez presented the award to Steag during PMAP’s annual national general membership meeting held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel on January 28, 2015.

Jimenez cited Steag’s commitment to the cause of developing and enhancing the competitiveness of the Philippine human resources in the light of the Asean integration developments.

Steag Power Plant Manager Dr. Carsten Evers, together with Steag HR Officer Dr. Wing Magdale, received the citation on behalf of the company.

Meanwhile, the PMAP-Cagayan de Oro City was named as Most Outstanding Chapter and Exemplary Chapter in the country. Jimenez cited the local chapter for its excellent performance in membership development, corporate social responsibility efforts and organizational expansion by reaching out its services to other parts of Northern Mindanao.

Steag HR Officer and PMAP Cagayan de Oro City immediate past-president Dr. Wing Magdale received the awards on behalf of the group.

"I would like to attribute these recognition and success to the passion, commitment and competence of the officers and members of the PMAP Cagayan de Oro Chapter," Magdale said.

Established in 1956, PMAP is the premier organization of people managers and HR practitioners in the country. Aside from championing the cause and advancement of developing the country’s human capital, PMAP has recently engaged itself in advocating for the country’s readiness in the Asean Integration processes.
