A MAGNITUDE 5.4 earthquake rocked the provinces of Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur at 4:47 a.m. Sunday, September 24, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said aftershocks and damages are expected due to the tremor, which was also felt in Cagayan de Oro City and Kidapawan City.
The quake's epicenter was located at 10 kilometers (km) northwest of Wao town, Lanao del Sur, Phivolcs said, adding that it has depth of two km and is tectonic in origin.
