I WAS invited by my Facebook friends Kaka Baltonado and Mae Gumban to a beach event they are currently promoting, a sequel to the successful Summerfrolic held last year.
According to Kaka, the 2nd edition of SummerFrolic will be bigger and better. And is described as a music festival of colors graced by the best DJs in the country.
Last year, along with my friends from the photography group, Mcom, we immensely enjoyed the set of visiting Las Vegas-based DJs, Werwolvz.
The wolvz will be returning again this time joined by DJs Ron Poe, Mars Miranda, Deuce, Funk Avy, Carlo Atendido, Jenil, Marc Marasigan, Jet Boado, Katsy Lee, Elmer Dado & Gruppo Triballe, Jennifer Lee, Kat DJ, The Zombettes, Jessica Milner, Khai Lim, BCal, Therese Garcia, MC Ron Thug, MC Boo, MC Ace, DruMoncatar, Ram Mia, Ronn Mirage, Jack Ripper, Kevin Rage, and many more.
This year the organizers (Frolicfox) have come up with a creative stage design that will definitely bring the festival to a whole new level. According to Kaka, there will be food, alcohol, color powder, paint, foam machines, water sprinklers, and much more to give participants the ultimate beach party experience.
Partygoers will also be treated to a host of other fun activities. On April 11, 2015, there will be an activity called "The Color Dash," this will utilize multi-colored powder to celebrate the SummerFrolic festival of colours. In addition to this year's colour festival, we introduce "The Colour Splash" which will highlight the use of non-toxic neon colored paint.
Summerfrolic 2015 will not only give participants two packed days of summer fun and enjoyment, Halad Mission Group Foundation, the official beneficiary of this event, will hold free surgical missions for major and minor operations as well as cataract extractions in various locations in Davao Oriental.
Summerfrolic 2015 is again expected to highlight the beach of Dahican famed for its 7-kilometer white sand shoreline. Dahican strip is being heavily promoted as a tourism destination not just in the city of Mati but also in the province of Davao Oriental.
Summerfrolic Music Festival of Colors will be held this April 10-11 2015 at La-ne's Beach Resort, Brgy. Dahican, Mati City.
