IT’S less than a week more to go before Holy Week, the opportune time to have soul searching and reflection.

The holiday is also the perfect time to reconnect with nature by hiking and camping at the most popular and scenic destinations with your friends or family.

All these significant activities you can do it in Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines and the province of Benguet, the home of famous mountains to trek.

Reconnect with nature by climbing and experiencing the cold breeze of Mt. Ulap in Itogon, Benguet by either following the usual entry point of travel at Ampucao village or exit point at Sta. Fe. village. It will take at least six hours climb to reach the summit.

You can also have an adventurous hike at Mt. Pulag in Kabayan, Benguet, the highest peak in Luzon. There you can choose several routes to take you to the summit which can either be easy to the most difficult.

Close encounter with nature also means experiencing the eco trail at Camp John Hay or nice stroll at the beautiful parks in the city.

Moreover, a visit at the Baguio Brahma Kumaris (BK) School of Meditation at Dominican Hill will help you understand about the essence of mediation. They teach Raja Yoga which helps you have a relaxed mind nurturing a healthy balance between your inner and outer worlds.

Solemn reflection can also be experienced by following the Stations of the Cross at the Holy Land in Tuba, Benguet.
