SUN.STAR SuperBalita Davao, the first Cebuano paper in Mindanao continues to share more innovations and make its presence be felt in the community.
It does not only banner the mantra 'Mantalaan sa tibuok pamilya' (newspaper of the whole family) but also strives hard to extend services to a chosen community.
Last July 24, Sun.Star Superbalita Davao celebrated its 16 years founding anniversary with its Free Eye Clinic and Libreng Gupitan at the gymnasium of Barangay 21-C Poblacion.
Hundreds of our dear readers availed of the free eye checkup and eye glasses from the office of Davao City First District Councilor Leo R. Avila III with the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (Osca).
Working hand in hand with the project are the experts from Physicians for Peace and Metro Davao Optometric Society who patiently check the patients in which most of them are elderly.
While waiting, the beneficiaries were also treated with a sumptuous porridge (lugaw) courtesy of the City Government of Davao.
Students from ALB Academy of Beauty also spent their time to give haircuts to hundreds of residents and readers who took time to be part of the one day event.
Other individuals, companies who also supported the event are 90.7 Love Radio Davao for the sound system; City Mayor's Office; Mr. Win Herbal Products; Filipino Comfort Food (FCF) of Ms. Cathy Binag for the delightful lunch of the volunteers, barangay functionaries and council of Barangay 21-C, Poblacion.
From all the staff of Superbalita Davao, our unending thank you to all our dear readers for your support all throughout the years and making us a part of your daily habit.
You (readers) are our inspiration in giving out fair, comprehensive reporting and entertainment.
We vow to continue doing our best for the coming years for your pleasure. Happy 16th years to all of us!
