THE suspect in the killing of a woman and her seven-year-old daughter in General Trias, Cavite has surrendered and admitted to the crime.
Senior Supt. William Segun, Cavite Police chief, said suspect Ruel Galvan Cabatingan surrendered to authorities in Eastern Samar Thursday, December 28.
Cabatingan allegedly admitted to killing Ruby Gamos and her child by choking them to death.
He then fled to Eastern Samar province in the Visayas, where he has relatives.
The bodies of Gamos and her daughter were discovered by their neighbors on December 11.
Police said the suspect was always seen in the house of Gamos and was rumored to be having an affair with the victim, who was married to a seaman. (Keith Calayag / SunStar Philippines)
