Suspected pusher nabbed in Liloan drug bust

A SUSPECTED pusher was caught at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, in a drug bust in Sitio Curva, Barangay San Vicente, Liloan town, Cebu.

Superintendent Randy Korret, the town police chief, identified the suspect as Jessnel Gerolaga Sugarol, a Sitio Angelico, Barangay Poblacion, Cebu City.

The police official said Sugarol had been identified as a street-level target.

Sugarol yielded .12 gram of white crystals believed to methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”

The contraband has a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1,416.

A pouch and marked P500 bill used in the drug bust were also seized from the suspect.

The arrest of the 25-year-old suspect came after Korret was donned with a new rank of superintendent on Monday, March 19.

Sugarol also yielded a .38 revolver and five bullets were also recovered from the suspect, who will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
